This morning I witnessed a fledgling robin's first flight out of the nest. As I watched the baby bird landed on the fence rail, looking around uncertainly. There it perched for over an hour until Mama Robin joined her baby on the rail. She chirped encouragingly to the reluctant youngster until it summoned the courage to spread its wings once again. There's beauty and wonder and the cycle of life all around us if we take the time to be still.
