Inspirational Ironman

Ironman Coeur d'Alene is a true test of athleticism, will and a little bit of insanity. From the 7 a.m. mass start of the swim leg, to a 144-mile cycling portion and the full 26.2 mile marathon ... 2,196 participants began the race and only 110 failed to finish. The last two photos show friends and champions, Tim Cushman and Sam Mann in the last euphoric block to the finish line after a grueling 16 hours and 33 minutes. They proudly display their Ironman medals just before the midnight cutoff. It was a good day to be an Ironman.
