... only YOU can prevent forest fires.
Yesterday temps in Coeur d'Alene reached 102. Fire season arrived at least a month earlier than normal this year due to early snowmelt and a record-breaking run of hot, dry days. A National Weather Service red-flag warning makes Smokey's words more true than ever. Abandoned camp fires are creating a challenge for fire officals. In Idaho it's against the law to leave a campfire smoldering. So when you're out enjoying the great North Idaho outdoors - be smart, be safe and make Smokey the Bear smile.
Welcome to North Idaho
To live in a place other people dream of visiting is incredible. Through the lens of my camera OnLocation North Idaho will bring you a slice of life as we know it in the Idaho panhandle. Enjoy!
