The protracted North Idaho winter has delayed snow melt in the mountains, which has resulted in much lower than usual lake and river levels for mid-April as these photos, taken this week and last July, of Coeur d'Alene's popular city beach illustrate. Hopefully by mid-summer we'll be back to normal, and beach blankets will dot the shoreline sands.
